TLC Team Lunch at Ellerbe Fine Foods

On May 25th, the team here at TLC had the opportunity to get together for lunch. For many members of the TLC team, this marks the first time since the 2020 lockdown that meeting up has been possible. We value team camaraderie and have virtual meetings every day, but there’s nothing quite like meeting in person.

The venue was Ellerbe Fine Foods, an innovative fine dining restaurant located in Fort Worth, Texas. Ellerbe Fine Foods focuses on serving beautiful farm-to-table cuisine, with a frequently rotating menu to assure garden-fresh ingredients.

The reason for the celebration was heart-warming to everyone involved: wrapping up a large humanitarian project based in the Dallas convention center. The team temporarily expanded by 200 employees over the duration of the project. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to bring on extremely talented individuals, from world-class interpreters to our new busy on-site coordinator. At the lunch and throughout the project, many laughs were had and many tears were shed.

This journey reminded our team that we are happy to say YES to a wide variety of opportunities that come our way, even if it isn’t what we’re used to. This project brought out the best in everyone who worked on it and has allowed our team to evolve as people, both in work ability and compassion.
