TLC Gets Wild at the Zoo

Team TLC Runs for Conservation

On a brisk Saturday morning, the Teneo Linguistics Company team gathered at the starting line for the Fort Worth Zoo Run. With a 25ºF wind chill we huddled, jumped up and down for warmth, and took cold selfies. CEO Hana Laurenzo transformed into a zebra in the spirit of the event; the rest of the team covered themselves in as many layers as possible (maybe to depict turtles trying to stay warm?).

Surrounded by participants dressed in their best animal garb, the run started, and Team TLC was off! The team ran, jogged, and walked the 5k route through the Fort Worth Zoo and historic neighborhoods. The cold wind could never stop them from finishing the course!

Giving Back Helps Everyone

Volunteering time & giving to good causes has always been an ongoing goal for Hana throughout her life. Naturally, this value was reflected when she started Teneo Linguistics Company in 2007.

The TLC team contributes to good causes and has volunteered their time over the years. Giving to others brings goodness upon ourselves, and we strive to live that through our charitable work at TLC.

Fort Worth Zoo Conservation Efforts

The Fort Worth Zoo puts on the run annually to raise money for their various conservation efforts and projects. The zoo supports projects at home and in over 30 countries with the goal of conserving the world’s diversity.

Some projects include the Animal Enrichment Program that benefit the animals in the zoo, and conservation efforts around the world for the Anegada iguana, Caribbean flamingo, and Puerto Rican crested toad.

Locally, the Fort Worth Zoo partners with conservation groups to preserve endangered and threatened species in Texas & North America like the Texas horned lizard, Chiricahua leopard frog, and the Pecos pupfish.

Teneo Linguistics Company, which provides translation, interpreting, transcription, and other language services to customers and companies around the world, are proud to contribute to causes like animal conservation through attending the Fort Worth Zoo’s event.

Team TLC proudly crossed the finish line at the end of the course, with smiles and pride. We knew we had done something great for our community, and animal conservation efforts.
