Arianna Makes TLC Proud as Employee of the Month

Congratulations to TLC’s Assistant Project Manager Arianna Martin for receiving employee of the month for May!

Arianna joined the TLC team in March of this year as a part-time employee while she finished up her Master’s of Translation and Cultural Mediation at the University of Udine in Italy. She graduated last month, and is now working full-time at TLC.

Displaying great development and progress, Arianna is learning the ins and outs of project management and is already taking on her own clients!

“Arianna is extremely dedicated to learning and shows great promise,” says Account Manager Heather who trained Arianna on a daily basis when she first started.

Arianna answered some questions about herself and her history:

How long have you worked for TLC, and what do you love about working here?

I started in March 2018, so I’m a new entry in the TLC family. I love how we work as a big team, even if each of us has their own projects to run; I love how we discuss word choice and languages. There is always something new to learn every day!

What made you want to be a language professional & which languages do you speak?

Since I was a kid, I love the sound of a new language and the different rules each language has, SO I always knew I wanted to study and work with languages. I speak Italian, English, German, and a little bit of Russian and Spanish.

Tell us a little about your past work history, and what led you to TLC.

I worked for years as a freelancer and even if I loved the flexibility, I am in a phase in my life where I needed some stability. I am so glad TLC and I crossed paths!

What are some of your passions and hobbies?

I am a big fan of anything environmental-friendly. I love to travel and lose myself in a new place: there is always something ready to surprise me out there! And I hope I can pass along this love for our world to my 1 1/2 year old daughter!
